SONKO CONTRIBUTES SH200K TOWARDS NJAMBI KOIKAI’S FUNERAL EXPENSES

Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has contributed Sh200,000 towards the funeral and hospital bills of the late radio presenter Njambi Koikai.

Speaking at the fundraiser on Wednesday, June 12, at the Quiver Club on Thika Road, he said, “This is Sh200,000 to help the family.“ Koikai passed away on June 4, 2024, after a long battle with endometriosis while undergoing treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

On Tuesday, June 11, a vigil was held in her honour at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi, attended by Sports CS Ababu Namwamba, who eulogised Njambi as a passionate human rights activist. “Njambi was a beacon of hope and equity, tirelessly advocating for fairness in our society. Her dedication to justice and equity is a passion we shared,

Njambi will be buried on June 14 at the Lang’ata Cemetry.
