SAUMU MBUVI CRITICISES GEN Z MOVEMENT FOR LACK OF LEADERSHIP
Mike Sonko’s daughter Saumu Mbuvi, has expressed concerns about the Gen Z movement’s current direction and impact on national politics.
In a recent post, Saumu highlighted the need for strategic leadership within the movement to avoid being sidelined. “If only the Gen Z movement chose some representative instead of staying leaderless. We could have forefront one of our own for a CS position to put these people on their toes and be our eye but opposition rode all the efforts,” Mbuvi stated.
Adding, “ All we have now managed is a merged government and recycled CS members and Gen Z being the opposition.”
Mbuvi criticised the movement’s reliance on protests, “That’s why a lot of strategising was needed not just going to Maandamano now we are sidelined and back to square zero. Now make sure when voter registration begins you all come out so that by the time elections get here we send most people home.”
Despite the challenges, she has a positive outlook on her involvement with the movement. “ Glad to have been part of the movement.”
