‘KENYA IS MY FAVOURITE COUNTRY TO VISIT’ SABRINA ELBA REVEALS

Canadian model and businesswoman Sabrina Dhowre Elba, recently opened up about her deep affection for the continent, singling out Kenya as one of her favourite destinations. 

Speaking in a recent interview, Sabrina fondly recalled her childhood memories in Kenya, expressing her connection to the country. “I feel so guilty saying this because I love the whole continent, but I think Kenya still is one of my favourite countries to visit. I’ve had so many childhood memories there,” Sabrina shared. 

She went on to praise the beauty of Kenya’s coastal region, particularly Kilifi Beach. “I also think if you haven’t been to Kilifi Beach and Kilifi House, it’s just one of the most beautiful places on Earth, I think. And the people, I love Kenya.”

Sabrina also spoke about her favourite beach in Africa, Mnemba Island off the coast of Zanzibar, which holds a special place in her heart as the site of her honeymoon with her husband, actor Idris Elba. She recounted a memorable experience from their trip: “We went there for our honeymoon, and all I wanted to see was sea turtles hatching. The whole team said it wouldn’t happen, but the night we arrived, they hatched.”

In addition, She revealed her favourite African cuisine, the Sierra Leonean groundnut stew. “My favourite African dish is Sierra Leonean groundnut stew, because Idris makes the best groundnut stew. He can cook what he knows how to cook, and he does that really well. His groundnut stew has become my favourite thing,” she said.
