LUPITA NYONG’O MOURNS SA ACTRESS CONNIE CHIUME 

Oscar award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o has taken to social media to mourn the death of  South African actress, Connie Chiume, who appeared in Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Beyoncé’s Black Is King.

The 72 year old died on Tuesday at the Garden City Hospital in Johannesburg, South Africa, her family announced on Instagram. “The Chiume Family regrets to inform you of the passing of the internationally acclaimed award-winning actress Connie Chiume,” they wrote in a statement.

Adding, “The Family asks for privacy during this difficult period. The family will communicate further details.”

Nyong’o shared her photo with a caption, “We have lost a library! May @conniechiume rest in peace and power.”
