MURUGI MUNYI ANNOUNCES CLOSURE OF FASHION BRAND 

Influencer Murugi Munyi has announced the closure of her fashion line, Wild By Murugi. 

She made the announcement during an Instagram Live session, where she candidly shared her reasons for making the difficult decision. “When I started Wild By Murugi it was hustle culture and my heart wasn’t in it,” Munyi explained. 

Munyi wants to prioritise her family and personal happiness. Despite the challenges, she remains committed to ensuring a smooth transition for her employees.  “I care about my employees and I really didn’t want to let them down. I don’t want to keep it open for the sake of saying I have a shop which doesn’t bring me joy anymore.

I feel like where I want to spend my time and effort is with my kids. Luckily for me, because of my platform, I can do that and still earn very comfortably. It was not worth it for me to keep the store open. I will be closing it at the end of this month.“

She promised to donate the remaining stock to women who need them, “We currently have everything in the store at 50% off and we have sold a lot of the stock that we were holding. Anything that is left I am going to donate to my mum’s rehab centre or to women who need them,” she added.
