EABL APOLOGISES AND ANNOUNCES FULL REFUNDS FOR DAY TWO TICKET HOLDERS
East African Breweries PLC (EABL) has issued an apology to festival-goers, suppliers, artists, and stakeholders following disruptions during the second day of the Walker Town 2024 Festival.
In a statement, EABL acknowledged the technical challenges that arose during the event, particularly due to the rain and adverse conditions, which impacted the sound system and caused significant delays.
These challenges led to the delayed performance of headliner Miss Lauryn Hill and the unfortunate cancellation of Nyashinski’s performance, leaving many festival-goers disappointed. “We sincerely apologise to all our valued festival-goers, suppliers, artistes, and stakeholders for the disruptions experienced during day two of the WalkerTown festival,” the statement read.
“We understand the importance of meeting the high expectations we consistently strive to deliver.” In response to the issues faced, EABL announced that all ticket holders for Day Two of the festival would receive a 100% refund within the next two weeks. “This is a reflection of our commitment to fairness and respect for the trust you placed in us,” the company stated.
EABL extended apologies to all the affected artists, partners, and consumers who attended the festival. “We are committed to learning from these challenges to ensure we improve future experiences for our loyal supporters.“
