‘I HAVE BEEN IN A FINANCIALLY ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP’ WAMBUI COLLYMORE REVEALS

Renowned Kenyan artist and widow of the late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, Wambui Kamiru Collymore, recently took to Instagram to engage with her followers in a Q&A session.

When asked about the top three traits to consider when selecting a life partner, Wambui shared personal insights based on her own life experiences. “Humour: You can’t take yourself too seriously, and we have to be able to laugh at life’s course,” she shared.

The second trait she identified was generosity and kindness, noting that a partner should be giving in all aspects. “You are a giving person and you give what you have whether in time, presence or more. I have been in a financially abusive relationship, and it dehumanises a person,” she revealed.

Lastly, Kamiru stressed the value of honesty, “Honesty with how you live, work and treat yourself and others.” As a bonus, the artist humorously added, “Unasomanga gazette is blogs,” playfully suggesting that staying informed and engaged with current affairs could also be a desirable trait in a partner.
