MAKE-UP ARTIST MUTHONI NJOBA TALKS ABOUT USING OZEMPIC & PLASTIC SURGERY TO ACHIEVE DREAM BODY

Celebrated make-up artist Muthoni Njoba has opened up on her challenging journey to achieving her dream body ahead of her 40th birthday.

In a candid statement shared on her social media, Muthoni talked about her struggles with weight loss, recounting the numerous diets and fitness attempts she made between 2015 and 2023. “I was very open sharing on Instagram all the diets I was trying to lose weight. I shared my keto attempts, low carb diets, I went vegan, I signed up nutrition consultants and each attempt failed miserably! ” Muthoni revealed.

Determined to make a lasting change in 2024, Muthoni adopted a more sustainable approach, starting with walking 10,000 steps five days a week. Her fitness routine evolved in February when a client introduced her to a gym in Lavington, which she fell in love with. “I finally found a workout I could commit to because I enjoy it so much. Between January and June 2024 I lost 12kgs from healthy eating habits, going to F45 3-4 times a week and walking 10,000 steps 5 times a week. I focused on creating a lifestyle that I can sustain. I was done with short term restrictive diets,” she shared. 

By July 2024, Muthoni’s weight loss journey took another turn when she began using Ozempic under her doctor’s guidance, “A dear friend got me the original Ozempic pens after I consulted with my doctor and was recommended to get on it and stay at the lowest dose 0.25mg and I took it for 5 weeks and I lost 8 kgs in that period.” 

In August 2024, having lost a total of 20kgs, she still felt insecure about certain areas of her body, particularly her stomach. Muthoni consulted a doctor, where she underwent a transformative procedure in September 2024. “Now I have my dream body, and finally, I can share my before & after photos,” Muthoni added. 

She thanked her plastic surgeon and the entire team for their outstanding care throughout the process. “They are hands down the best in Kenya! I say that confidently after having the most amazing experience through my consultations, surgery and the hands on after care that has made my recovery a happy and smooth process.”
