SHORN ARWA CALLS OUT COUPLES WITH UNREALISTIC WEDDING BUDGETS

Kenyan content creator Shorn Arwa has criticised couples who plan extravagant weddings beyond their financial means.

 Taking to her social’s the content creator called out couple setting expecting wedding budget,  “How can you budget for a wedding worth Sh1 million when neither of you has even close to that amount?” Arwa questioned. 

She urged couples to be realistic when planning weddings instead of relying heavily on friends and family to cover the wedding bills. “Then you pressure everyone, saying, ‘You guys are not serious, we’re approaching the deadline.’ What deadline? We need to normalise living within our financial means.

If your total budget is Sh1 million but you only have Sh400,000 or Sh600,000, that’s what you should work with. Don’t expect others to fill in the gap if you and your partner can only contribute Sh10,000,” she added.
