EQUATORIAL GUINEA OFFICIAL BALTASAR ENGONGA EMBROILED IN MAJOR SCANDAL 400 EXPLICIT VIDEOS LEAKED
Baltasar Ebang Engonga, a senior Equatorial Guinean official and head of the country’s Anti-graft National Agency for Financial Investigation (ANIF), is at the centre of a scandal involving explicit videos, some featuring prominent figures and spouses of officials.
The videos were reportedly uncovered during a fraud investigation, officials discovered over 400 explicit videos featuring Engonga with various women, including relatives of government figures, when they searched his home and office as part of an inquiry.
The footage, discovered within his office, allegedly includes interactions with spouses of high-ranking officials, such as the president’s sister, the wife of the police director general, and the wives of about 20 ministers. These encounters, reportedly consensual, were filmed in multiple settings, including Engonga’s office, hotels, and restrooms.
Responding to the incident, Vice President Teodoro Nquema publicly addressed the issue on X (formerly Twitter), stressing that sexual activities within government offices are strictly prohibited. He issued a firm warning about the consequences of any future violations.
“Given the abuse that has been shown on social media in Equatorial Guinea in recent days, and remembering that ministries are solely and exclusively for carrying out administrative work in support of the country’s development, sexual relations in offices are prohibited,” he wrote. “Control mechanisms are already in place, and anyone who violates this rule again will be subject to disciplinary proceedings for indecent conduct and will be dismissed from their job.”
Engonga, 54, is married and has six children.
