‘MY BLOODLINE HAS SERIOUS CURSES’ MUSICIAN VIVIAN TALKS ABOUT DIVORCE

Musician Vivian has taken to social media to shed light on the emotional trauma she has faced after her recent divorce. 

In an Instagram post, Vivian spoke about the harsh treatment she received from her family members. “My family is the pits. When I went through the divorce, my sister called me mentally sick. My aunt came to harass me in my own house. When I attempted to return home from the West, my mum asked, ‘Why should I?’ It was then I realised the trauma I have endured started from my upbringing,” the artist shared. 

Vivian revealed the deep-rooted issues within her family, particularly among the women on her mother’s side. “My bloodline has some serious curses, and now a newer generation of young men is coming up in the same family line. The women on my mum’s side are numb and cold; my sister is leading the pack,” she wrote. 

She declared that she will not stop talking, “I want them to know they can never silence or break me. I will speak up for myself and my children.” In her emotional post, The musician called out the patterns of fear, and harassment she has experienced, vowing to put an end to the cycle. “Self-centeredness ends here and now. Siwaogopi #Iamshe,” she concluded.
