‘YOU CAN NEVER SHAME THE SHAMELESS’ KAREN NYAMU ON RENT ARREARS
Senator Karen Nyamu has addressed public concerns following reports that auctioneers are pursuing her over Sh1.25 million in unpaid rent for a property in Runda.
Speaking candidly, Nyamu expressed gratitude to supporters who offered financial assistance but clarified her current financial situation. “Yesterday, I got people wanting to raise money for me. They think I’m broke, but I am not broke. Thank you for your concern,” Nyamu said. “I actually got some contributions on my phone and I’m very thankful, but I’m fine. I don’t need it right now. When I need it, I will definitely be giving you a Paybill number.”
She added, “You can never shame the shameless, should be a lesson for everyone.” The statement follows a court order issued by Milimani Senior Magistrate A.H. Nyoike on November 13, 2024. The order directs Fantasy Auctioneers to recover the outstanding rent amount by auctioning the legislator’s belongings, with Runda Police Station instructed to provide security during the process.
