‘I WILL OVERCOME’ KHALIF KAIRO RESPONDS TO FRAUD ALLEGATIONS
Car dealer and social media personality Khalif Kairo has opened up about recent rumours surrounding his business, amidst allegations of fraudulent activities.
In a statement shared on his X page, Kairo acknowledged the challenges his business is currently facing, describing them as a natural part of entrepreneurship. “These struggles you see me going through are quite normal in business, particularly when a company is in the growth phase. Every successful entrepreneur must face litigation or financial difficulties at some point, especially when God is elevating them to new levels,” he wrote.
The 28-year-old entrepreneur reassured his followers and supporters, stating, “To everyone reaching out, I want you to know that I am completely okay and confident that I will overcome these hurdles.”
On December 3, police arrested him at one of his car yards in Nairobi on suspicion of obtaining money by false pretences. According to Kasarani Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer Justus Ombati, Kairo allegedly defrauded a client of Sh26 million under the pretence of delivering high-end cars. “More complainants have come forward, and we have opened a file on him,” Ombati told Nation.
