‘MINOR SECURITY ISSUE’ FURAHA CITY FESTIVAL ORGANISERS ON WHY  DIAMOND FAILED TO PERFORM

By  |

The organisers of the Furaha City Festival have issued an official statement addressing the absence of Diamond Platnumz from the festival lineup despite being scheduled to perform.

Despite our best efforts, his team’s behaviour and demands proved regrettable and unnecessarily overbearing. While we acknowledge there was a minor security issue involving another artist, we swiftly resolved it and ensured that the event continued in a safe and professional manner. We believed in treating all artists equally and maintaining high quality standards for everyone involved,” read the statement.

Despite the setback, the event was a success, with Kenyan artists delivering outstanding performances that left the audience thrilled. “We are incredibly proud of the remarkable performances delivered by all the other artists. Kenyan artists outdid themselves, and their impeccable talent, energy, and professionalism were evident throughout the festival. They gave their all to ensure the audience had an unforgettable experience. We also extend our gratitude to Rayvanny and Wasafi’s Zuchu for their electrifying performances.”

Acknowledging Platnumz’s stature as a top-tier artist, the organisers emphasised professionalism in such collaborations. “We respect Diamond Platnumz’s position in the music industry, but we also expect mutual professionalism and respect. Moving forward, we are committed to resolving these matters amicably and learning from this experience to ensure even greater success for future editions of Furaha City Festival.”
