PRESIDENT UHURU SPEAKS ON ATTEMPTS TO DELAY DAUGHTER NGINA’S WEDDING

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has revealed the reason why he attempted to delay his daughter Ngina’s wedding. 

Speaking on December 7, 2024, during the wedding of Damaris Musyoka, the daughter of former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, Kenyatta reflected on fatherhood and how difficult it was letting go of his daughter. “One of the most difficult things is saying goodbye to a daughter,” Kenyatta said. 

“I went through the same problem. I tried to use every single excuse in the book to delay these things—like, ‘There’s COVID, let’s wait; there’s still time, let’s see.’ But eventually, I ran out of excuses,” he added.

Ngina Kenyatta married Alex Mwai in a private traditional ceremony in June 2022.
