UNCLE WAFFLES CONDEMNS MISHANDLING OF FANS AT NAIROBI CONCERT

By  |

International Amapiano deejay Uncle Waffles has expressed her disappointment over the mishandling of fans at For The Love of Amapiano concert held over the weekend.

The South African DJ, known for her high-energy performances, issued a statement addressing the challenges she and her supporters faced during the event. “I’m extremely disappointed and shattered by the way For The Love of Amapiano handled this event, which was something I have been looking forward to for a while,” she said.

She highlighted numerous issues, including sound problems before her performance, mistreatment of her team, and the mishandling of concertgoers by security and event organisers. “What a disappointed me most though is how many Kenyan supporters were treated by the organisers and security at the event. People were pushed around, mishandled and treated with the least amount of care and that is something I will not stand for. The safety and wellbeing of people who came out to support me and this genre is my top priority and I could not play my set any longer while people were visibly uncomfortable and at risk of getting hurt,” she stated.

Uncle Waffles concluded her statement with a call to action for event organisers to uphold higher standards if they intend to host future events. “You have not only disappointed me but you have also let down the 10,000 plus people who came out in support of this event. I urge you to do better if you have any desire to continue putting events together in the future.”
