DAVID RUDISHA GETS ENGAGED TO LONGTIME GIRLFRIEND DR. MERCY CHUMBA

World 800m record holder and Olympic legend David Rudisha has taken the next step in his personal journey, getting engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Dr. Mercy Chumba. 

The intimate ceremony was held at the serene Sergoit Gardens in Uasin Gishu County. The traditional engagement ceremony, rich in Kalenjin cultural practices, was graced by close family, friends, and notable figures from Kenya’s athletics fraternity. Among the esteemed guests was Olympic 3000m steeplechase champion Ezekiel Kemboi, who celebrated with the couple.

The couple’s engagement marks a new chapter for Rudisha, whose accomplishments include breaking the world record for the 800m race at the 2012 London Olympics, a record that still stands today.
