LIFESTYLE INFLUENCER BERNICE NUNAH DEMANDS PAYMENT, CALLS OUT OPPO AND AIFLUENCE AGENCY
Lifestyle content creator Bernice Nunah has taken to social media to share her frustration over alleged non-payment by mobile phone company Oppo Kenya and influencer marketing agency AIfluence.
Nunah claims she has not received her payment for a campaign completed in October 2024, despite repeated follow-ups. “I can’t believe I’m starting the new year with a rant, but don’t touch my bag! @aiffluence at @oppokenya. See, it’s always the client with the most demands and crazy timeline to beat that be acting shady because what do you mean you’re still processing my October 2024 payments, three months later, and it’s a whole new year?”
She further accused Nelson Aseka, CEO of AIfluence, of unprofessional conduct, sharing his photo alongside a warning to fellow creators. “Here’s the star of the show! A professional pathological liar and funds eater. To my fellow creators, think twice before you engage with @aifluence. Learn from the experience and that of the rest of the creators on this campaign.“
The content creator talked about the challenges faced by influencers in meeting the high demands of clients while relying on timely payments to sustain their livelihoods. She also threatened to take legal action against the agency, “Style up, pay us what you owe us, or let us meet in the corridors of court, because all your lies are getting boring.”
Nunah also advised fellow creators to secure a 50 percent deposit in their contracts, especially for one-off projects, to avoid similar situations. Neither Oppo Kenya nor AIfluence have issued a response to the allegations.
