‘I’M OKAY’ KEN MIJUNGU ADDRESSES TV47 DEPARTURE
Renowned media personality Ken Mijungu has broken his silence following his abrupt exit from TV47, assuring his fans and followers that he is doing well after recent career setback.
In a video message shared on his social media platforms, Ken Mijungu addressed the public, saying, “I’m back just to show you that I am alive and okay. Don’t worry about me; I am okay. This is just proof of life that after Sunday and Monday, I am here, alive and healthy.”
The statement comes days after news broke of his departure from TV47, where his contract was terminated early. The news was confirmed in a letter issued by Cape Media’s HR Manager, Lilian Makandi, on February 22.
Mijungu formally communicated his decision to the management on Friday, February 21, expressing his desire to take time off to reassess his role within the organization.
“We acknowledge receipt of your email dated February 21, 2025, in which you requested time off to reflect on your engagement with the company,” the letter stated in part. Having considered the matter, Management has taken the decision to revoke the Service Agreement dated January 31, 2025. This decision takes effect from February 22, 2025.”
Cape Media’s HR, Makandi, extended her best wishes to Mijungu, leaving the door open for potential future collaborations. “This development notwithstanding, we shall be pleased to engage with you on future possibilities. The management wishes you the best in your future endeavours,” the letter added.
