TV47 ABRUPTLY ENDS KEN MIJUNGU’S CONTRACT DAYS AFTER LANDING THE JOB
TV presenter Ken Mijungu has officially left Cape Media’s TV47, less than a month after his appointment.
The departure follows the approval of his request for an early termination of his contract, as confirmed in a letter issued by Cape Media’s HR Manager, Lilian Makandi, on February 22.
Mijungu formally communicated his decision to the management on Friday, February 21, expressing his desire to take time off to reassess his role within the organization.
“We acknowledge receipt of your email dated February 21, 2025, in which you requested time off to reflect on your engagement with the company. Having considered the matter, Management has taken the decision to revoke the Service Agreement dated January 31, 2025. This decision takes effect from February 22, 2025.”
Cape Media’s HR, Makandi, extended her best wishes to Mijungu, leaving the door open for potential future collaborations. “This development notwithstanding, we shall be pleased to engage with you on future possibilities. The management wishes you the best in your future endeavours,” the letter added.
Mijungu’s move to TV47 in January 2025 had generated significant buzz, coming just days after his departure from Standard Group’s KTN, where he had built a notable career over four years.
