ANITA SONIA MEETS KING CHARLES III AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE 

Kenyan climate activist, philanthropist, and parliamentary aspirant Anita Sonia had the honour of meeting His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on March 13, 2025, during a high-profile reception on climate action and global water sustainability.

The event, hosted by the King in his capacity as Patron of WaterAid, brought together global leaders and change-makers to discuss solutions for water security and environmental conservation. Anita, founder of The Soina Foundation, was personally invited in recognition of her impactful work in water advocacy across Kenya.

Overwhelmed with emotion, Anita shared photos from the historic moment, “Your Majesty, I am the Soina from Kenya S o i n a at Buckingham Palace for a #Climate and #Water reception through the invitation from His Majesty the King… Bomori Jonathan would be so proud of me. The touching tribute referenced her late brother, Bomori Jonathan, whose legacy continues to inspire her mission. Through The Soina Foundation, Anita has championed clean water access, climate resilience, and youth empowerment, earning her a place among Africa’s most influential young leaders.
