ATWOLI AND KILOBI WELCOME FIRST CHILD AFTER SEVEN YEARS OF MARRIAGE

Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General Francis Atwoli and journalist Mary Kilobi have welcomed their first child together.

The couple, who have been married for seven years, kept the pregnancy private to avoid public attention. Kilobi, 40, described the journey to motherhood as one of faith, patience, and hope.

“Mzee Atwoli is over the moon with joy. He is yet to meet baby AJ (Atwoli Junior) as he is currently in Geneva, but he will be flying back on Tuesday to see our newborn,” Kilobi told The Nation.

The 75-year-old trade unionist and his wife opted for privacy during the pregnancy to shield themselves from speculation. “We wanted this journey to be peaceful and sacred, away from unnecessary noise,” she added.
