‘BATTERED, BRUISED AND BURNT’ TIKTOKER DR. MUMBI SERAKI REVEALS HARROWING ORDEAL AFTER DISAPPEARANCE

Renowned TikToker and social media commentator Dr. Mumbi Seraki has broken her silence after being reported missing for three days, revealing a terrifying ordeal that left her battered, bruised, and burnt. 

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Dr. Seraki shared photos of her injuries and thanked to her supporters for their relentless efforts in demanding her safe return under the hashtag #FreeMumbiSeraki. “Proof of life! And thank you for #FreeMumbiSeraki. They almost got me last Friday, family, but as fate would have it, I am back home, safe and sound. Battered, bruised, burnt, but still very much here to bring in the new dawn. What was supposed to be a casual Sherehe,” she wrote.

The social media commentator sudden disappearance from social media had sparked widespread concern, with thousands of users rallying online to demand answers and action from authorities. Parliamentary aspirant Francis Gaitho provided an update on her situation. 

In a statement posted on social media, Gaitho revealed that Dr. Seraki had been lured by a supposed ‘friend,’ identified as a lawyer, to a meeting that turned sinister. “She was drugged and can’t recollect much. Only that they got into a freak accident, and the vehicle somehow burnt to ashes with all her valuables,” Gaitho stated.

He further explained that Dr. Seraki had been hospitalised since the incident and was only recently discharged. “She is currently in the company of family and friends. It was definitely a set-up. Even though her handbag with belongings and documents was burnt, her phone was still showing that it’s tracking on the SGR to Nairobi,” Gaitho added. 

He urged public figures to exercise caution, warning, “I won’t stop reiterating to front-liners to stop meeting people, including friends. Stop it. NIS can do anything.”
