BEATRICE ELACHI’S SON ELVIS MURAKANA TO BE LAID TO REST IN KAJIADO

The family of Dagoretti Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi has announced funeral arrangements for her late son, Elvis Murakana, who tragically passed away following a road accident.

The burial ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 29, at the family home in Nalepo Village, Kajiado County. A memorial service honouring Elvis’s life will be held on Friday, March 28, at Holy Trinity Church, Kileleshwa.

Elvis had been hospitalised for a week in the Intensive Care Unit at AAR Hospital after sustaining severe injuries in a road accident. Reports indicate that on Tuesday, March 18, he left home for an errand in Kasarani when tragedy struck.

While returning, his vehicle experienced a tyre burst along Thika Road, causing him to lose control and collide with guardrails. Police and emergency responders found him unconscious, rushing him to the hospital for urgent treatment. Despite undergoing emergency surgeries and close monitoring, he later succumbed to cardiac arrest.

At the time of his passing, Elvis was a  Business Studies student at Africa Nazarene University, eagerly anticipating his graduation in June 2025. Described as a devoted family man, he was a beloved brother to Silvia, Kelvin, Mwangi, Jemimah, Alex, Tony, Moses, Lauryn, and Faith.

President William Ruto led the nation in mourning Elvis’s untimely death, “Be comforted by the word of the Lord in Psalm 147:3. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, ”the President shared.
