CHIPUKEEZY APPOINTED DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF PROTOCOL AND EVENTS AT OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

Renowned comedian and emcee Chipukeezy has been appointed as the Deputy Director of Protocol and Events in the Office of the President. 

The celebrated entertainer, thanked the president for his new role, “I am truly humbled and ready to serve. When the time is right, God will make it happen. Thank you, His Excellency @williamsamoeiruto .”

This appointment comes months after Chipukeezy faced criticism for his frequent role as an emcee at government functions. In October 2024, he addressed critics who accused him of abandoning social activism in favour of state-affiliated events. “These people are trying to disturb us from the work we are doing. Just know it will be very hard. For someone like me to quit a job to please people online would be stupid,” he asserted. “I’m an MC; if I’m called for a job, I will not refuse to go because you want to change Kenya.”

Chipukeezy also maintained that Kenyans should coexist in harmony, regardless of differing views, “If there is a cause you have made to change the country, I wish you well, but just because people are not participating in your cause, don’t start forcing us… Make the Kenya that has harmony and a space for everyone, even those you do not agree with.”
