FLAQO LANDS DAILY COMEDY TV SHOW

By  |

Content creator, Flaqo, has officially announced the launch of his new daily TV show, Kwakina Otis, set to air every weekday on NTV.

The multi-talented entertainer shared the exciting news on his social media platforms, reflecting on his humble beginnings to becoming one of Kenya’s most recognisable comedic voices.

In a post, Flaqo opened up about the challenges and triumphs that have shaped his career. “I have come from humble beginnings, and this journey has been nothing short of exciting, with a lot of challenges, ups, and downs,” he said.

He revealed that his passion for acting was almost derailed during his high school years, where he was often cast in uninspiring roles. “I gave up acting in high school because I was always cast as either a door or fire, despite knowing my potential as an actor,” he shared.

After high school and during his university years, Flaqo had dreams of auditioning for TV roles but faced financial constraints. “I always wanted to audition, but I didn’t even have the fare. My dream was to have even the smallest role on TV,” he recalled.

Undeterred, Flaqo turned to online platforms, where he began creating his own content. Initially, he struggled to find collaborators, as many people found his work ‘embarrassing’ at the time. This led him to take on multiple roles in his skits, effectively becoming a one-man show.

When I was coming up, I couldn’t find people to work with because I was still unknown. So, I decided to play all the roles in every show I did online,” he explained.

Years of hard work and perseverance have finally paid off, as he now boasts a dedicated fanbase and a thriving career in entertainment. “Years later, I now have a program where I play 90 percent of the roles on NTV. I never thought, even in my wildest dreams, that I would have a program on TV,” Flaqo said.
