KHALIGRAPH JONES REVEALS WHY HE BUILT HIS MEGA MANSION
Kenyan artiste Khaligraph Jones has opened up about his journey building his dream mansion, revealing how a visit to Nigerian star Rude Boy’s home completely transformed his vision for success.
In an interview, the rapper shared that he’s chosen to document the ongoing construction process while already living in the palatial home, saying: “I have not finished my house but I moved in. I try to be very transparent with the process as much as I could because I wanted to show people it is possible. It can be done by people like us.“
The artist confessed his original plan was modest, “Before visiting Nigeria, my mentality was if I get money, I’d buy an apartment in Kilimani.” But everything changed after shooting a music video in Nigeria and visiting fellow artist Rude Boy. “I saw the life they were living and knew that’s the kind of life I want,” he recalled, detailing how he immediately instructed his manager to level up their plans upon returning to Kenya.
Khaligraph added that his mission was to change the perception on Kenyan artistes, “For the longest time, artistes have been despised. We’ve seen unfortunate events where people were at the top and now down. I wanted to change that perception.”
The rapper’s creative vision extended to every detail, including telling his architect: “I wanted a closet that looks like a supermarket.“ While the home is already livable, some finishing touches remain, “We have not finished putting up the curtains. We put up the shears, were given the budget for the curtains it was too expensive. On the top floors we will put later.“
