ACTIVIST HANIFA ANNOUNCES PLANS TO RUN FOR NAIROBI WOMAN REP IN 2027

Activist Hanifa Farsafi has officially declared her intention to contest for the Nairobi Woman Representative seat in the 2027 general elections. 

The bold announcement comes after mounting public pressure, “I’ll run for Nairobi Women Rep since everyone is insisting. Y’all holding me to such standards, so might as well just go for it. Nitawacha kusema ‘mbwa’ lakini?“

Farsafi rose to national prominence as one of the most vocal leaders during the historic #RejectFinanceBill2024 protests, where she spearheaded the ‘Care for the Injured’ M-Changa fundraiser. She mobilized Kenyans to contribute Sh31 million tripling the initial Sh10 million target and coordinated medical support for hundreds injured during demonstrations.
