Popular content creator Rachel Too has officially married her Mzungu boyfriend in a stunning ceremony blending Luo traditions and modern elegance. 

The couple exchanged vows on April 5, 2025, in a celebration filled with love, culture, and breathtaking decor. Rachel’s journey to the altar began with a romantic Swiss proposal on January 1, 2025, in St. Moritz. Capturing the moment on social media, she gushed: “I said yes to the love of my life! This happened on our way to St. Moritz, Switzerland a place that looks like Mars! He gave me the fairytale proposal I deserved, and my heart is full. If you believe in fairytales, you will have one!”

Before the white wedding, the couple honoured Rachel’s Luo heritage with a traditional Nyombo (dowry) ceremony. She shared glimpses of the event, explaining, “My dowry is getting settled while I prepare. Dowry is a symbol of appreciation from the groom to the bride’s family. How did he do with the dance? Or the beat will find?”

She also explained that before walking down the aisle it’s important for the bride and family to say yes to the family, “In my culture the bride and her family must say yes before she is officially handed over to the groom! Moments just before I walk down the isle.”
