‘NDEGE IMEANGUKA’ KENYA AIRWAYS CONDEMNS IRRESPONSIBLE APRIL FOOLS’ POST BY MIKE SONKO

By  |

Kenya Airways has strongly criticised former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko for spreading false and alarming information about the airline on April Fools’ Day.

In a now-deleted social media post, Sonko claimed, “Kuna ndege ya KQ imeanguka” (A Kenya Airways plane has crashed), causing unnecessary panic among the public.

Kenya Airways swiftly responded, stating, “This is not funny. Spreading false information about aviation safety is irresponsible! Kindly take it down.”

The national carrier says that such pranks are dangerous and can cause undue distress to passengers, their families, and the general public. Aviation safety is a serious matter, and misinformation even a joke can have far-reaching consequences.
