Authorities in Migori County are searching for a 30-year-old man who was filmed clinging to the skids of a helicopter during musician Prince Indah’s traditional wedding on Sunday evening.

The suspect, identified as Salom Obise, a father of two, shocked onlookers when he latched onto the helicopter as it prepared to take off with YouTuber Oga Obinna and other passengers aboard.

Despite attempts by security to remove him, Obise persisted, clinging to the aircraft as it ascended before being dropped off in a nearby field. Uriri Sub-County Police Commander Enrico Lyomu confirmed the incident, stating that Obise has since gone into hiding. “The helicopter descended and safely released him in a cultivated area. We are investigating his motives for such a reckless act that endangered his life,” said Lyomu.

Oga Obinna, who witnessed the incident firsthand, shared his astonishment on social media, humorously referring to Obise as a Migori commando  and recounting how the man evaded security to cling to the chopper. “Migori komando🤣🤣🤣🙊🙊🙊! Sasa huyu angeumia wangesema tumemsacrifice 🙆🏿‍♂️🙆🏿‍♂️🙆🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️! He was so keen to hang on. Security removed him, and he came back. Luckily, he clung to the side where myself and Business Man Bruno were seated, and we saw him—the pilot hadn’t even noticed! We safely shukishad him in his own farm nearby, only for him to carried kichampe🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙊.”
