Kenyan singer and actress Sanaipei Tande has officially released her new EP, 40 & Four-Tune

Produced entirely by Ihaji, the EP showcases Sanaipei’s signature vocal prowess and lyrical depth across four tracks. “It’s out!! My new EP 40 & Four-tune! A blessing in a title! All 4 Jams produced by non other than @ihajimadeit Listen and tell me which one is your favourite jam!

In a past interview with Cheptoek Boyo on Buzz Central Podcast,  the singer and actress weighed in on the state of Kenya’s entertainment industry, noting that the film industry is currently outpacing the music sector in terms of growth and job creation. “Acting is giving a lot more job opportunities. We have so many shows coming up, new actors and actresses every day, and new production houses emerging. The crew has a huge wardrobe, hair, makeup, lighting, sound, camera. Those are jobs for a lot of people. I think acting is doing a lot better than music.

The musician acknowledged that while Kenya produces a significant amount of music, much of it struggles to gain traction beyond local audiences. “There’s a lot of music coming out, but how much of it can be called African or global music that actually cuts across the continent and the world? We might still be struggling there, and not just as Kenya. I think there’s a lot of music where people assume it’s international, but it really is not.

The Kash Money star concluded that, for now, the film industry offers more stability and growth opportunities than the music scene, citing the increasing number of shows and expanding job market.
