Kenyan actress and entrepreneur Catherine Kamau, popularly known as Kate Actress, has addressed the frequent question surrounding the status of her beauty venture, House of Humba.

In a candid revelation, Kate explained the challenges that led to the temporary pause of her lip care line, describing it as a valuable learning experience in her entrepreneurial journey.

“What happened to House of Humba is the question I get every time,” she acknowledged. “Like many entrepreneurs, I faced hurdles, high importation costs, slim profit margins, and logistical setbacks, including a shipping scam.”

Kate stated that the break was not an end but a necessary phase for growth. “These challenges made me realise I needed to step back, restrategize, and equip myself with better financial skills to run the business effectively,” she added.
