‘TIME TO MODERNISE OUR SOUND’ BENSOUL SET TO RELEASE KAMBA SONGS

Afro-soul star Bensoul is set to release his new singles sung in Kamba-language.

In a candid interview on Buzz Central Podcast with Cheptoek Boyo, he opened up about his excitement and anxieties of the project. “I’ve recorded Kamba songs but never released them,” he confessed. “We create stacks of music, yet marketing forces us to drop tracks one by one.” 

His unreleased catalog blends contemporary production with traditional Kamba rhythms, a fusion early listeners are already praising. “Those who have heard the songs love it and feel like it’s a high time to have modern Kamba music,” he added.

The artist, known for his collaborations with Luo artistes, wants to represent his community, “I’ve featured in many Luo songs. Now it’s time to represent my own.” He teased a release with Vijana Barubaru as the first single.
