AWINJA, MAMMITO EUNICE & SHIKSHA ARORA STAR IN NETFLIX MOVIE INSIDE JOB

Kenya’s most beloved comedians are set to dazzle global audiences in Inside Job, a new Netflix original film premiering June 14. 

The comedy features fan favourites Jacky Vike (Awinja), Mammito Eunice, and Shiksha Arora in lead roles, alongside acclaimed actors Elyas Moshkwani and Irene Kariuki.

The film, directed by Tosh Gitonga, began as a passion project between friends. Awinja and Mammito shared behind-the-scenes excitement on social media, “So awhile back, The African Director]called and said, ‘Vike, I want us to work on something with you and Mammito.’ We packed our things, headed to Nanyuki, prepped everything, came back to Nairobi, shot it and yes! The final product is finally here!“

For Shiksha Arora, the film marks a major career milestone. “Your girl is going to be on Netflix! In January 2024, I got a call to do something I’d never done: audition for a movie. I got the role and the opportunity to star in it,” she shared.

Inside Job promises a mix of sharp humour, relatable drama, and the signature wit that has made its lead actors household names. The collaboration between Primary Pictures and Netflix signals a growing spotlight on Kenyan talent in global entertainment. “The countdown is officially on… Pure madness, raw heart, and hilarious twists we cooked, now it’s time to serve,” said Gitonga.
