BLINKY BILL HONOURED BY NEW YORK CITY WITH NINA SIMONE AWARD & CONGRESSIONAL CERTIFICATE

Renowned Kenyan musician, producer, and cultural innovator Bill Sellanga also known as Blinky Bill has been recognised with multiple high-profile accolades from the City of New York, cementing his global influence in Afro-beats and music innovation.

Among the honours, Blinky Bill received: The 2025 Nina Simone Artistic Excellence Award in Afro-Beats Music Entertainment. A Proclamation from New York State Senator Kevin Parker. A Congressional Certificate of Recognition from U.S. Congresswoman Yvette Clarke and A City of New York Certificate of Recognition from the Office of Mayor Eric Adams.

The awards celebrate his contributions to music, cultural exchange, and the global rise of Afro-beats, highlighting his role as a pioneer in Kenya’s contemporary music scene.
