‘I’M FREE AT LAST’ MORARA KEBASO QUITS POLITICS
Political activist and former Inject party leader Morara Kebaso has officially announced his exit from politics.
In a candid social media post, Kebaso expressed relief at leaving politics, citing the pressures of public life. “I finally escaped politics. I can now live my life, make my money, travel, visit bars, and dance without judgment. No more security, no more TV interviews where I’m misquoted, no more explaining the cost of my shirt, shoes, or car. It’s none of their f**kin business.”
He also reflected on his political journey, “God gave me a moment in the spotlight, and I did my best. But I’ve carried anger and pain, if I don’t walk away, it will destroy me. Kenya has 55 million people; there’s no shortage of leaders. I’ll support, advise, and contribute but from the sidelines now.“
Following his announcement, a section of Kenyans demanded refunds for their past donations to inject, with posts like, “After milking Kenyans with fishy pay bills, scooping millions, changing cars and flying your wife. to Dubai,You have directly shown us the middle finger, and told us to put in our asses and smell! It’s been business I sey!”
Kebaso confirmed that assets donated by supporters will be transferred to new leadership, “I will hand over all party assets to capable leaders who will continue empowering youth in politics. Expect an official communication from them soon. It’s such a relief. I was almost going mad. Now, I’m finally free! Can I hear an amen?”
