Popular Kenyan comedian and social commentator Jaymo Ule Msee has weighed in on the recent June 25th demonstrations, declaring them “tribal” and lacking any meaningful impact on the country.

In astatement, Jaymo compared the 2024 and 2025 protests, stating: “25th 2024 authentic and genuine maandamano with impact, 25th 2025 very fake maaandamano with a tribal  leaning with zero impact.

Jaymo went on to add, “The truth: 25th 2024 all communities, all religions and classes. 25th 2025 when I say it had a tribal leaning that’s the truth and it’s painful to swallow that!

Kenyans mobilised on June 25, 2025, to commemorate last year’s historic protests against the 2024 Finance Bill, which saw widespread demonstrations across the country.
