MATCHA DRAMA: DR. LINDAH MUTHONI CLAPS BACK AT CRITICS OVER POLICE BRUTALITY SILENCE CLAIMS

Content creator Dr. Lindah Muthoni has responded to mounting criticism accusing her of remaining silent on police brutality following the tragic death of Albert Ojwang.

Taking to social media, Dr. Muthoni shared her frustration over what she calls a ‘misinformation campaign’, clarifying that she has spoken out but on her own terms. She clarified that her controversial matcha video was posted June 3, days before Ojwang’s death on June 9. By June 11, she had made multiple posts on Instagram condemning police brutality and calling for justice.

TikTok critics claim she didn’t speak up, but Dr. Muthoni argues the real issue isn’t that she didn’t post, “I did it out of my own will that communicates to me that people don’t care whether I posted or not. They take issue with the fact that I have not posted how they want, when they want, and on the platforms that they want. How fair that is. I will leave you to be the judge.”

She condemns fellow creators who target her, riling up audiences to flood her comments with negativity. “Clearly I’m damned if I do, damned if I don’t. I don’t have a problem with people stating their opinions, and I think people have a right to say how they feel, but I do take issue with people hiding behind activism, expressly saying my name or make innuendos in their content, where people can easily figure out that you are talking about me, and then riling up their audience to come and leave such comments on my page.”

She thanks supporters who defended her amid the backlash. “There have been people in the comments that are defending me. Thank you so much for understanding and support. May Grace follow you all the days of your lives now for the people who are intentionally choosing to misunderstand me intentionally, may you never, ever experience the kind of negativity that I have experienced, particularly on this app for the last couple of days.”
