‘PROTESTERS WITHOUT A COURSE’ KAREN NYAMU CRITICISES JUNE 25 PROTESTS
Senator Karen Nyamu has criticised on Wednesday’s protests marking the anniversary of last year’s anti-Finance Bill demonstrations, calling them dangerous.
According to Namu, the 2024 protests were purposeful as compared to this year’s chaos, “I thought it was a memorial to remember those who were killed last year. But it was violence, threats and a lot of tension.”
She questioned the motives of organisers, asking, “For what? Did you guys like it? Just one question, what did you want to leave the youth to achieve yesterday? Last year the course was very loud and clear. This time you can tell it was the first time protesters without a course.”
She singled out the impact of protests on small businesses,“A lot of businesses were hurt mainly ran by my industrious Kikuyu people. Yuko wapi yule self appointed spokesperson wa wakikuyu to condemn it?“
Nyamu also called on Kenyans to beware of politicians who have nothing to lose, “Be careful with leaders who have nothing left to lose. Leaders who have lost everything including their conscience. I once had an ex who told me, if I can’t have you no one else will. If I can’t be a leader in Kenya no one else should. May the devil be defeated completely!”
