QUICKMART ADDRESSES CLAIMS OF HIDDEN BODIES IN OUTLETS

Quickmart has issued a statement dismissing social media claims alleging that hidden bodies were hidden inside its branches following Wednesday’s protests. 

The retail chain has moved swiftly to clarify misinformation circulating online and reaffirm its commitment to the safety of its staff, customers, and the community.

In the statement, Quickmart confirmed that while the two branches OTC and Ruiru were affected by the protests, no injuries or fatalities occurred among staff, customers, or any other individuals at the outlets. 

The company said  that the well-being of all stakeholders remains its highest priority. “We recognise the challenges posed by these events, but we are fully committed to restoring normal operations as quickly as possible,” the statement read.

Adding, “We are currently engaging with necessary measures to ensure continued service excellence and to support our shoppers and staff during this time.”
