‘THE NARRATIVE IS ONE SIDED’ ACTOR DADDIE MARTO DENIES PHYSICAL ABUSE CLAIMS
Actor Daddie Marto has responded to explosive domestic abuse allegations made by his wife, content creator Koku Lwanga. The actor’s statement comes hours after Lwanga’s emotional social media post detailing claims of physical violence, infidelity, and financial abuse went viral.
Marto began by acknowledging the gravity of the situation, stating the online allegations had compelled him to break his silence on private family matters. “While my primary hope was to resolve these matters privately for the wellbeing of our children,” he stated, “The nature of the online discourse now requires a public response.”
The actor denied all abuse allegations saying “I want to state unequivocally I do not condone violence of any kind physical, emotional or psychological,” the statement read. Marto said the circulating narrative is significantly distorted and one-sided, claiming it omitted crucial context about their marital situation.
Without specifying details, Marto hinted at possessing evidence that would allegedly present a different version of events.
However, he disclosed his preference to take legal action over public confrontation. “I believe it is essential to allow appropriate channels to handle this matter thoroughly, fairly and with the dignity it deserves,” the statement continued.
The actor confirmed he has engaged legal counsel and is fully cooperating with official processes. “Where necessary, I will defend my name with the truth and within the bounds of the law,” Marto declared.
Addressing the personal toll of the controversy, Marto described the situation as “an incredibly heartbreaking time for everyone involved,” particularly their children. He appealed for public restraint and compassion, asking for understanding during this difficult period.
The statement concluded with Marto’s commitment to “navigating this challenging period with integrity, dignity, and respect for all,” while maintaining he would remain “present and honest” with his supporters.
