TYLER PERRY HIT WITH $260 MILLION SEXUAL ASSAULT LAWSUIT BY THE OVAL ACTOR DEREK DIXON

Media mogul Tyler Perry is facing sexual assault allegations from actor Derek Dixon, who starred in Perry’s BET series The Oval. In a bombshell $260 million lawsuit filed this week, Dixon accuses Perry of sexual assault, harassment, and abuse of power spanning several years.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Dixon claims the inappropriate behaviour began after meeting Perry at a 2019 event, where Perry allegedly requested his contact information and hinted at potential acting opportunities. He later secured minor roles in Perry’s shows Ruthless and The Oval.

The lawsuit details disturbing incidents, including one in January 2020 when Dixon visited Perry’s Atlanta home. After drinking heavily and retiring to a guest room, Dixon alleges Perry entered and touched his thighs without consent. Despite Dixon’s rejection, Perry reportedly continued sending sexually explicit messages.

One such message read, “No straight man would be going on walks with you or cooking dinner for you unless they wanted to fk you. I would fk you.”

Dixon further claims Perry made inappropriate comments about his sexuality, comparing his on-screen role as a “gay, homeless store clerk” to the type of partner Perry allegedly desired in real life, someone “loyal and dependent.”

A particularly disturbing 2021 incident alleges Perry entered a guest house where Dixon was staying, pulled down his underwear, groped him, and said, “Relax and just let it happen. It’s not going to hurt.” Dixon says he defused the situation by changing the subject.

After enduring what he describes as persistent harassment, he filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in June 2024 before ultimately leaving The Oval.

Perry’s legal team has vehemently denied the accusations. His attorney, Matthew Boyd, stated, “This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam. But Tyler will not be shaken down, and we are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail.

The lawsuit seeks $260 million in damages, citing emotional distress, career harm, and alleged violations of employment laws.
