ALLIANCE GIRLS ALUMNI PROTEST OVER ALLEGED SEXUAL ABUSE BY A TEACHER

Published

Former students of Alliance Girls High School held demonstrations on Thursday, July 10 following shocking claims of sexual misconduct involving a male teacher

Protesters allege the teacher engaged in inappropriate relationships with students, with reports suggesting the abuse continued even after victims graduated. According to an investigative report by Africa Uncensored, the accused teacher reportedly groomed multiple students, with the relationships intensifying post-graduation.

The school’s Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) has formed a special committee including representatives from the Ministry of Education, KUPPET, and alumni to probe the allegations. Findings are expected by next week.

Alumni leader and advocate Zahra Nechesa accused the school of shielding the teacher since 2011, prioritising the institution’s reputation over student safety.

Kiambu County Director of Education Simon Wanjohi assured the public that the ministry is taking the matter seriously and will enforce disciplinary measures if the allegations are confirmed.
