COMEDIAN KK MWENYEWE PASSES AWAY AFTER SHORT ILLNESS

The Kenyan entertainment industry is in mourning following the sudden demise of renowned comedian Zakaria Kariuki, popularly known as KK Mwenyewe, who passed away on July 14 while receiving medical care at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by fellow comedian Kafengo, who shared, “We are heartbroken to announce the sudden demise of Zakaria Kariuki a.k.a Mr KK Mwenyewe. He passed away yesterday evening while undergoing medical attention. During these sad moments, we ask for support and prayers for the family and friends. May God give us strength at this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.“

The comedian went viral for imitating the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in 2022, KK Mwenyewe’s humorous depictions of the former DP had garnered him 1.1 million followers on TikTok and 412,000 more on Facebook.
