KAPLONG GIRLS SHUT DOWN FOLLOWING STUDENTS PROTEST OVER SEXUAL HARASSMENT 

Kaplong Girls High School in Bomet County has been closed indefinitely after students staged a protest on Saturday night.

The demonstration was sparked by claims of sexual harassment by some teachers, along with other unresolved complaints. During the unrest, several students suffered minor injuries, and school property was damaged. 

According to a police report, the injured were taken to St. Claire Kaplong Mission Hospital for treatment following a chaotic stampede. Officers from Sotik Police Station intervened to restore order, and the students were later sent home on Sunday morning.
