KHALIF KAIRO GRANTED A MONTH TO SETTLE FRAUD CASE OUT OF COURT

Popular car dealer Joseph Kairu Wambui, also known as Khalif Kairo, has been given 30 days by the Milimani Law Courts to try and settle his fraud case out of court.

Through his lawyer, Kairo also asked for permission to travel to Japan for business. The court allowed him after seeing proof of his trip and noting that he has returned on time for past court dates.

To help resolve the case, Kairo suggested that his bail money be given to one of the people involved in the case. Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina agreed, saying the money could be transferred if both sides reach a settlement and the complaint is officially dropped.

The court also ordered Kairo’s passport to be returned to him so he can make his trip. The case will be mentioned again on August 25 to check if a settlement has been reached and whether the DPP’s office has responded to the request for a case review.
