MOMBASA GOVERNOR DROPS ACTOR KEN AMBANI IN NEW COUNTY EXECUTIVE RESHUFFLE

Renowned actor and public servant Kenneth Ambani, popularly known as Ken Ambani, has thanked Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir for the opportunity to serve in his administration following a recent reshuffle.

Governor Nassir announced a strategic reorganisation of the Mombasa County Executive, introducing new cabinet members and reassigning current officials to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. The reshuffle aligns with the administration’s Mwanzo Mpya  agenda, which priorities transparent and results-driven governance. This marks the governor’s first major cabinet restructuring since taking office.

Among the key changes is the nomination of Jonathan Wepukhulu as the new County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Public Service Administration, Youth, Gender, and Sports, replacing Kenneth Ambani, who has held the position since 2023.

In a statement following the announcement, Ambani shared his appreciation to the governor and the people of Mombasa, saying, “I wish to thank H.E Governor Abdulswamad Nassir for giving me the opportunity to serve the people of Mombasa as CECM for Public Service Administration, Youth, Sports, Gender, and Social Services for the last three years. Ahsante sana, Mombasa! Moving on to new assignments.”
