MUMBI MAINA STEPS DOWN AS OTILE BROWN’S MANAGER AFTER A YEAR
Talent manager Mumbi Maina has announced her departure as the manager of celebrated artist Otile Brown after a successful year-long partnership.
In an official statement, Maina opened up on their collaboration, “After much thought and reflection, I have made the decision to step down from my role as Otile Brown’s manager. Working with Otile has been a journey I’ll always be proud of, full of growth, creativity, and unforgettable moments.“
During her tenure, Maina was overseeing major projects, collaborations, and performances that solidified his position as one of Kenya’s most influential musicians.
She said the decision was amicable, “As with any creative journey, there comes a time when paths naturally shift. For the sake of my peace, purpose, and professional evolution, I believe this is the right time to take a step back and allow space for new direction both for Otile and for myself. This decision has been made with respect and mutual understanding.”

She thanked Otile for giving her an opportunity to work with him, “I continue to wish Otile the very best as he writes the next phase of his story. Thank you all for your continued support, and for allowing me the space to move forward with intention and grace.”
While Maina did not disclose her next career move, sources indicate she may be focusing on new ventures within the entertainment and talent management space. Meanwhile, Otile Brown is expected to announce a new management team in the coming weeks.
