‘INTERNAL DISPUTE’ POLICE RESPOND TO GOONS ATTACK AT NANAK HOUSE 

The National Police Service (NPS) has issued a statement addressing recent reports of a security incident at Nanak House on Kimanthi Street in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD). 

The incident, which occurred on Friday, August 22, 2025, involved alleged armed individuals breaking into several businesses in broad daylight.

In a statement by director corporate communication Muchiri Nyaga, the NPS said they have conducted an analysis of the event. Detective findings confirm that the incident was a targeted attack on four businesses within Nanak House, linked to an internal civil dispute currently in court.

An arrest has already been made in connection with the case, and the NPS also said further arrests are in progress. These facts were detailed by the Regional Police Commander, the NPS assures the public that Nairobi CBD remains one of the safest areas to conduct business.
